Department of Psychology is headed by Dr. Ambica Kumari. In Bachelor Degree of Education, Psychology is playing applied part i.e. Educational Psychology. Department is equipped with Lab., Internet facility , availability of reference books in the library .For psychological testing various Psychological tests and equipments are available in the lab. Subject is being taught under different course headings like Educational Psychology, Basics of psychology, Elementary Statistics, Personality Development etc. Besides Academics, Mandodarpan activities are being conducted regularly under different cells i.e. Psychological Counselling Cell, Career counseling cell and Placement Cells. The main objective of counseling cell is to provide quality counseling to the young generation of students about their psychological health and career prospects Department has started De-Addiction awareness committee to Orient students about menace of Substance Abuse and Drug Dependence. Department also provides psychological tests and guidance to M.Ed. and B.Ed. students in their research work. Department organizes various guest lectures, poster competitions, Essay Writing Competitions and panel Discussions to promote Psychological Wellbeing of prospective teachers. Faculty of the department conducts various sessions of individual counseling and group counseling as well.
