"The Government College of Education Jammu, established in 1955, has been constantly moving forward. It is the only government educational institution imparting teacher education in the Jammu region. The college offers B.Ed. (02-year) and M.Ed. (02-year) courses with an intake capacity of 100 and 50 respectively. The college also offers ITEP 04-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (B.A./B.Ed. Foundational and Preparatory) course with an intake capacity of 100 (50 and 50 respectively). Right from its inception, the college has been a hub of academic, socio-cultural and intellectual activities. "
