The History of B.ed college library dates back to 1954 with the inception of Teacher Training School which now is renamed as “Govt. College of Education”. Society can develop and move in the right direction to become a knowledge society when teachers are provided with the quality content for imparting it to others. The five laws of library science put forth by Shri. S.R. Ranga Nathan, (father of library science) for information dissemination are justified when these are complied:

  1. Information is for use.
  2. Every user his or her information.
  3. Every piece of information its user.
  4. Save the time of the information user.
